LOCAL PRODUCT BETWEEN TRADITION AND INNOVATION

Tuscan product represents the real core business of the company. Every year we process about 800 tons of wild product fished in the Tuscan archipelago, as the fishing tradition and the immaculate waters of the promontory of the Argentario guarantee the best fishing quality of Italy. The fishing boats leave for the sea early in the morning, from Monday to Friday,and every night come back (18 hours of fishing, except in rare cases in which it is possible to reach 36 hours). As soon as the product is unloaded, it is stored and forwarded; the same night we reach the most important Italian cities: Milano, Roma, Firenze, Napoli and Sardegna.

FISHING

For the last 40 years of presence in the markets of Porto Santo Stefano and Porto Ercole, our family is more and more decisive in the production area. La f.lli Manno manages directly a boat for R&D, which is dedicated to experimental fishing; Antonio Manno is the ship owner of 4 fishing boats, equipped for the freezing on board. Rino Manno is in copartnership with 5 boats. This integration brought to the creation of the Cooperativa Costa D’Argento, which today counts 30 boats, all commercialized through the auction of the F.lli Manno.

We guarantee each passage of the production, through a tracking code it is possible to see the fishing boat, the team, and the exact fishing point of each box loaded into our boats.

 

FARMED FISH

The specialization is guaranteed for the farmed fish, every day we fish from the farms of Orbetello and Piombino and every day we storage the fish in our locations. The production is customized, for size and for methodology of packing. In 2013 we have packed more than 300 tons of fish, with a distinct prevalence of sea breams and sea brasses.

OUR PRESENCE IN THE FOREIGN MARKET FOR EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE

The specialization on the foreign fish is essentially for the French market (fish, oysters and shellfish) and for the Maldivian tuna. France has been our partner for more than 40 years, through a dense network of commercial relationships and personal friendships, we buy fishing products in all the ports of the Mediterranean and the Atlantic, where we control the Jean Deroy, society operating in Boulogne Sur Mer.
